Good Therapy is a supportive counselling and coaching service for adults seeking reliable, compassionate mental health support. Created by Guideposts, it offers a calm, safe environment where people can talk openly, feel understood and explore their emotional wellbeing at a pace that suits them.
Accessible adult counselling without long waits
Many people struggle to access the right mental health support. Good Therapy bridges the gap between long NHS waiting lists and short-term therapy, offering consistent, person-centred counselling for adults who need steady, meaningful help.
What we offer
Good Therapy provides warm, steady counselling and coaching for adults who need support that fits real life. Whether someone is facing anxiety, grief, sexuality or identity questions, relationship difficulties, trauma or living with a long-term health condition, we offer a calm space to talk openly and explore what matters most.
Our counsellors work with the whole person, not just one part of their story. We blend talking therapy with practical tools, helping people understand their experiences, manage emotions and build confidence day to day.
For those needing trauma support, we offer longer-term therapy that gives time for trust, safety and healing. No rushing, no pressure: just a genuine human relationship where people can be themselves.
Long-term trauma support
Trauma healing takes time. Good Therapy offers longer-term trauma counselling, creating a safe, trusting relationship where people can process experiences, build coping tools and feel grounded in the present.
Counselling and coaching combined
Many people benefit from both emotional exploration and practical strategies. Good Therapy blends counselling and coaching to provide:
- space to talk and be heard;
- tools for managing emotions;
- practical coping strategies;
- support with confidence and stability; and
- time to understand experiences.
